Stripers are going nuts for top waters in Newport if you get out there in the morning. I haven't tried at night but I hear that's good, too.

I'm not so sure about Mt hope bay but I have been getting some good sized ones in Newport, just off the Navy base, for the last week or so. If there not there yet, they will be soon.

They have started the dock. It's fenced off and I can't get to my off shore spot. Guess I'll just have to take the boat over and see what there doing. I hope I won't be the only one picking up trash ...

I have had really good luck with YUM buzz frogs, black ones. They can't seem to leave them alone both in clear water and around weeds and lilly pads. Good luck!
