Illegal fishing...

Not sure where to post this but I've got to tell someone...

I have been watching these same foreigners taking illegal tautog for the past 3 days in a row down in Bristol. I've called DEM, as have others, but nothing's been done.

When I approach these idiots they pretend not to speak English.

Really gets me when they just flaunt it in your face.

what nationality are they? I have a friend that works in the DEM that i can forward the info to...also, what time of day are they usually there?

Not sure what they are, maybe Laotian.

They've stopped fishing for now - Tautog season's closed for the month - but you can bet they will be back soon as it's opened.

I just spoke with a woman at DEM this past weekend - she gave me her card and told me to call her cell as soon as I see them back. She'll make sure she comes asap.

nice..where do you fish in Bristol? i like the striper pix...do you know any good spots in Bristol?

The DEM have already been to a couple spots in Tiverton, and fines were levied. I spoke to one of them for a few minutes the day he approached me. They are well aware of the problem with these folks and hinted to me that that's the reason he was there that day. I'm glad they recognize this issue.
