I'm going out for strippers in the morning. Launching the yak at River Bend Cemertary rt1A Westerly, RI. I'll be heading north as far as downtown Westerly then going back south as far as Avondale then back north to the launch point. I'm working now so I'll be tired by then. Anyone wants to go I'll be underway by 0900 Saturday AM 4-25-09. Looks like a great day HI tide 1100 approx.
SW winds @ 10mph. hi 60's. I'M READY!!
Well the stripers weren't ready! Didn't see any bait fish or stripers. Paddled from the cemetary up to the boat ramp down to Avondale and back up to the cemetary. Talked to 4 other fishermen one caught a samll one 3 others hadn't seen anything.
Quit around 2PM. Weather was mild, calm, cloudy and overcast. |
